Hi there! Let´s learn about some of the top 6 indoor and outdoor activities to do in Costa Rica:

Costa Rica with its vast environmental diversity offers something incredible for everyone to experience. There are plenty of options to enjoy and so much to explore. There are lush green jungles and forests and hidden beaches that are perfect for enjoying a lot of outdoor and indoor activities. 
On this list you will find a good mix of adventure, culture, and adrenaline experienced in each of the activities:

Zip lining:

In Costa Rica, more than a quarter of the area is covered in rain forests and Zip-lining is one of the best outdoor activities to enjoy discovering the enchanting ecosystems of this country. This popular activity can be enjoyed throughout the country but the best places you will find are in Monteverde cloud forest and close to the Arenal volcano. This country offers a number of zip line courses that fly over beaches, through treetops and across canyons. While flying from one tree to another you will enjoy watching the breathtaking views of the rain forest. People who are scared of heights, they can try the zip line that are not so high and long and choose the short small and short canopy tours. Adventure seekers can enjoy the kilometer long cables and experience thrilling adventure.

White Water Rafting:

In Costa Rica there are some best white water rafting rivers include the Sarapiqui, the Corobici, the Pacuare and the Reventazon. Each river has differing degrees of difficulty, making it easy to find one that suits the skill levels of the paddlers. No matter whether you are a beginner or already have experience in rafting, you will find something to enjoy. If you are a beginner, the calm of the Corobici will allow you enjoying the wildlife that you can watch along the shores. If you are adventure lover, you can go for enjoying white water rafting on the Pacuare river that offers thrilling roller-coaster rapids and overnight camping opportunities.

Surfing:

Due to its world-class surf breaks in both coastlines, Costa Rica is a popular surf destination. There are many popular surf spots such as Playa Negra, Playa Hermosa, Santa Teresa, Playa Tamarindo and Playa Jaco. In this country you will also find several surf camps and learning centers where you can learn the techniques of surfing and enjoy brushing the waves.

Hiking:

In anywhere in Costa Rica you will find a good hike or walk in the vicinity. You can enjoy this outdoor activity from lowland tropical rain forest to beautiful beaches or can just choose the vast fields of hardened black lava that surround the Arenal Volcano. There are many hotels and centers that arrange hiking or sightseeing tours that you can enjoy and have a lifetime memory. People who don’t feel comfortable to go alone for hiking, they can join others and enjoy a tour or can take help from a private local guide.

Cross-fit:

The Cross fit craze has made its way to Costa Rica. Cross Fit gyms are popping up all over the country. You’ll find multiple Cross Fit gyms in the San Jose area, as well as alongside the coast in places like Playa Tamarindo and Playas del Coco. There are 39 official Cross Fit gyms in Costa Rica.

Boxing:

The Central America region actually has a great boxing culture, especially in the case of Nicaragua and Panama; in Costa Rica, Jesus “Tuzo” Portuguéz had the honor of being the first Costa Rican boxer to qualify in a global ranking and he fought five times in the Madison Square Garden in New York. Humberto Aranda and Carl Davis also are known names in the boxing history of Costa Rica; but off course Hanna Gabriels is the most renowned female World Title contestants, she has obtained important victories on the ring, achieving important  titles for the country. Several gyms are available to practice this trendy sport and be as good as Hanna Gabriel, representing Costa Rica around the world.

The Taj Mahal is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the world, and  attracts 7–8 million visitors a year; it was also declared a winner of the 7 Wonders of the World in 2007

Machu Picchu is one of the most iconic archaeological sites in the world and the most popular tourist place in Peru, discovery by Hiram Bingham in 1911. Machu Picchu is an extraordinarily beautiful setting at 2,430 m above sea level in the midst of a tropical mountain forest. Peru’s government mentioned Machu Picchu as a Historical Sanctuary in 1981, and after two years in 1983 UNESCO declared it a World Heritage Site.

4) The Great Wall of China

Location: Near Beijing, China

Constructed:  220 to 206 BC

The Great Wall of China is the longest man-made monument in the world; it is the pride of China and a major tourist destination, built along with an east-to-west line across the northern borders of China. The construction began in 770 BC and especially famous was the wall built 220–206 BC by Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. The Great Wall of China is a huge 13,000 miles or 21,000km long and made of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials.

5) Stonehenge

Location: Wiltshire, England

Constructed:  3000 BC to 2000 BC

Stonehenge is an ancient monument in Wiltshire, South West England. it is located on a chalky plain north of the modern-day city of Salisbury. Each standing stone is about 13 feet high and 7 feet in width which makes it 25 tons in total weight. It was built between roughly 5,000 and 4,000 years ago, Stonehenge is one of the most important prehistoric monument sites and also the most popular tourist attraction in Britain.

6) Christ the Redeemer

Location: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Constructed:  1922 to 1931

The busy city of Rio De Janeiro has been one of Brazil’s most popular tourist places for decades. The statue of Christ the Redeemer is one of the most famous tourist attractions here, and this Jesus monument is also one of the tallest statues in the world and was built between 1926 and 1931. The statue’s design was credited by Heitor Da Silva Costa, but a Frenchman was commissioned to actually shape the piece.

Historical examination shows that the Pyramids were built between 2589BC and 2504 BC.

Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Constructed:  2004 to 2010

Burj Khalifa is a 163-story high-rise building and the most visited tourist attraction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Soaring 828 meters above Dubai and at present the world’s tallest building; it symbolizes a union of art, engineering and heritage. Burj Khalifa has redefined what is potential in the design and engineering of marvelous tall buildings. the most famous building still holds these records, the tallest free-standing structure, the tallest building, and the highest number of floors in the world.

 

10) Colosseum or Coliseum

Location: Rome, Italy

Constructed:  70 AD to 80 AD

The Colosseum or Coliseum in Rome, Italy, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the world. The Roman Colosseum, whose original Latin name was Amphitheatrum Flavium, was situated just east of the Roman Forum. Construction began under the emperor Vespasian in AD 70. The Colosseum is the largest oval amphitheater in the world, the area of the entire building is around 6 acres (24,281 m), and has a seating capacity of approximately 50,000 people.
